Christmas Miracles Stories

Christmas Miracles Story #1: Mrs. Clemens

Mrs. Clemens has been our piano teacher for the last six years. She’s an amazing teacher and has become practically family. Her love for music is contagious and almost beyond words. She’s taught and inspired so many kids to pursue music.

Three years ago, Mrs. Clemens was diagnosed with cancer. It’s been a daily battle she’s had to walk. We’ve watched her walk this journey with grace and love, still putting others and her students’ needs above her own. She’s continued teaching, even if it means FaceTiming classes when her immune system was compromised. She’s never stopped showing up, and encouraging students to always give their best. She is the most thoughtful and caring person we know, please help bless Mrs. Clemens with a Christmas Miracle.

Christmas Miracles Story #2: Mom Stacy & her daughter Grace

I’m a single mom of a six year old wonderful daughter named Grace. Unfortunately, I unexpectedly lost my job and have fallen on extremely hard times. It was hard enough being a single parent with a job. Since losing my job, I’ve been living paycheque to paycheque. We’ve been able to access the food bank to make sure we enough food. But it’s almost impossible to keep up with the bills, and it feels like I won’t ever catch up with the debt continuing to rise. Let alone have anything extra to allow my daughter to experience any of the excitement that comes along with Christmas.

Please consider us for a Christmas Miracle. I would love to see a smile on my daughters face to have gifts for her to open this Christmas. A Christmas Miracle would mean the world to my family.

Christmas Miracles Story #3: The Christensen Family

I want to nominate the Christensen’s for a Christmas Miracle. This family of four was evacuated from their home up north during the summer fires. Sadly, they have not been able to return or find a job and/or housing to allow them to settle properly and start a new life here.

They’ve stayed with several families and spent time in temporary housing. Currently residing in a run-down motel as that’s all the family can afford, and even that is a financial burden with no long term resolution. Mom and Dad, with two children, are finding it hard to afford food. They are in dire need of food and financial assistance. This family is in need and truly deserve a Christmas Miracle.

Christmas Miracles Story #4: The Glennon Family

I want to nominate the Glennon Family. This family is so kind and generous. They’re doing their best to navigate a very difficult situation. The father has a severe form of Multiple Sclerosis which has left him in a wheelchair, requiring around the clock care and he’s unable to work. He wishes more than anything to be able to just have a normal Christmas with his family, one without worry about illness or financial stress. Both of the children have special medical needs and the wife/mom is the only one able to work yet lives with a heart condition. Suffice to say, things have not been easy for this family.

This family could use the relief that a Christmas Miracle can bring. Without help, Christmas is looking incredibly bleak for the Glennon’s. Please consider helping them with a Christmas Miracle.

Christmas Miracles Story #5: The Cross Family

Please consider the Cross Family. We met this family on a hot summer afternoon while they were walking back to their residence with their hands full of groceries and 2 children in tow. We stopped to offer them a ride home and met Dajuan, Shadae, and their two children. We learned they had just left their home and family in Jamaica, so Shadae could attend school to try and get her degree.

When we dropped them off we realized the whole family was sleeping on air mattresses because all they could bring with them to Canada was their clothes. Our Christian community was able to help with beds and household items, but there is still many things this family needs. Like warm clothes for the cold Alberta winter, and it would be a Christmas Miracle to help bless these two children with gifts to open on Christmas.

Christmas Miracles Story #6: Jonathan, Sarah and their three children Kai, Blake, & Wren.

It’s hard for me to nominate my own family. But it’s been quite a trying 2024 for us. I lost my job this summer and that same month, our landlord informed us that our lease would not be renewed. Thus we needed to find a new place to live. My wife’s a stay at home mom, and is enrolled in online courses to try and better hers and our future. We have three children ages 8, 9, and 11.

After losing my job, we survived on money received from her student loan. It was a miracle that it helped us through. Unfortunately though, we had to use it to sustain us instead of using it for her education. I did find work in October, but we have a lot of catching up to do on bills and paying back the student loan debt. A Christmas Miracle would allow us to come up for air during the holidays and surprise our 3 children with presents this year.

Christmas Miracles Story #7: The Bentley Family

We’re a family of 4 who recently moved to Canada in search of a better life. However since we landed in July, its been really challenging for my spouse and I to find work. We’ve sent out hundreds of applications, but still we’ve had no luck finding jobs. The financial struggles are really challenging, but it’s also taking a toll on our emotional health as we’re basically not even getting call backs. That, plus the high cost of living, groceries and well everything, has just made it really difficult to provide for our family.

I’m also 6 months pregnant and trying to seek help for our newest family member here after Christmas. I just feel so overwhelmed by all these challenges. We really could use the peace a Christmas Miracle could help bring. To help make sure we’re better prepared to move from 4 to become a family of 5. Please consider us for a Christmas Miracle.
